Logbook One
Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 11, 2026
Logbook One is local-first. Your flying records belong to you, and the app is built around user-controlled storage, export, backup, restore, and deletion.
Overview
Logbook One is designed as a local-first pilot logbook and career companion app. No account is required for core logbook use.
Data Storage
Flight log data is stored locally on your device. Logbook One does not store flight log data on Logbook One servers. You are responsible for keeping your own backups.
Google Drive Backup
Google Drive backup is optional. If you choose to use it, backup files are stored in your own Google Drive. Logbook One uses Google Drive access only to create and read user-controlled backup files. Google access may need to be re-confirmed, and Logbook One does not store long-term Google access tokens.
Google User Data
If you choose to connect Google Drive backup or restore, Logbook One may access your Google account email and basic profile information to show the connected account and authenticate the connection.
Logbook One may access Google Drive files and folders only as needed to create, read, update, or restore Logbook One backup files selected or created by the app. Logbook One does not request broad access to all Google Drive files unless technically required by the selected Google API scope. Google Drive access is used only for optional, user-controlled backup and restore.
Google user data is used only to authenticate you with Google and provide optional Google Drive backup and restore. Backup files may include your Logbook One data, such as flight log entries, aircraft, crew, settings, screenshots or storage metadata, and app backup information, only when you choose to back up that data.
- Logbook One does not use Google user data for advertising.
- Logbook One does not sell Google user data.
- Logbook One does not use Google user data to train AI or ML models.
- Logbook One does not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the user-requested Google Drive backup or restore functionality.
Logbook One is local-first. Flight log data is stored primarily on your device. Google Drive backup files are stored in your own Google Drive account when you choose to use Google Drive backup. Logbook One does not operate a server that stores users' flight logs or Google Drive backup data.
Logbook One does not share Google user data with third parties for marketing, advertising, analytics resale, or unrelated purposes.
You can disconnect Google Drive access through the app or your Google Account permissions. You can delete Logbook One backup files from your own Google Drive, and you can delete local Logbook One data from the app or device.
Logbook One's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data We Do Not Sell
Your flight records stay yours. No sale of personal data. No use of flight logs for advertising or profiling. If Logbook One ever introduces ads or sponsorships in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain how they work.
Local Files and Attachments
If you add screenshots, documents, or attachments, those files are stored locally and may be included in user-controlled backups. Avoid adding documents you do not want stored in your local app data or backup file.
Export, Import, Restore, and Deletion
You can export your data to user-controlled files and import or restore compatible backup files. You can also delete local app data and disconnect Google Drive. Exported files and imported backup files remain under your control.
Pilot Responsibility
Logbook One is designed to help pilots organize and export their flying records, but pilots remain responsible for verifying all entries, totals, signatures, exported documents, and logbook accuracy before official submission. Pilots are also responsible for meeting regulatory, employer, and licensing requirements.
